EDITOR'S NOTE: I know I used this title before, but it serves a versatile purpose.
Well, my friends, the world of horse racing, and maybe even the world in general, just got a little darker. I just can't believe it. He fought so fiercely, but I guess he couldn't any longer. The world will miss him, and will always remember him.

I think the brevity of your posting sums it up quite nicely. I was so caught up in things that I didn't hear about his passing until yesterday. As my plane hurtled east I shed a tear.

This was a beautiful tribute....it was so sad that Barbaro died but I think it was so moving that his owners loved him so very much...not just as an investment but as a true friend....thanks for the posting.....
