Well, for those of you who I plan on telling about the fact that I decided to post again, I welcome you all back to this pitiful forum of the inane goings-on of my personal life that even I find boring and not worthy of mentioning, but I figured what the hell, and this has been the longest sentence I have written in a very long time and I don't think it even has a point anymore, so I'm gonna end it now.
Sorry. But, as the above run-on points out, I have decided to rekindle this blog, seeing as I haven't updated in almost a year, since Grandpa died. It's a little bit sad, both his death and the long span of time between posts. Seeing as I'm sure all of you are DYING for me to enlighten you on the idiocy of my life, I'm going to give you a run-down of the past year in two paragraphs or less, or your money back.
So, we know about Grandpa, but what I haven't said anything about is the ordeal at his house that has consumed our lives for the better part of the past year. When you want to rent a house that hasn't been redone since 1960, a little housework is usually entailed. This wasn't little. I have only one thing to say that sums up my feelings about that house: wallpaper on the ceiling. Moving on, in August of '08, I had the good fortune to attend a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in West Bend. It was amazing. They played all of my favorite songs, and closed with the most epic version of Free Bird I have ever heard. And it made me realize what I want to do with my life. Remember that guitar thing I mentioned alot in previous posts? Yeah, it's consumed my life and made me want to play it proffesionally until I die. It's gone rather well so far, but that's a story for next paragraph. Then began school. The rundown of most of it goes as follows: Depressed, Really Depressed, Moderately Happy, Happy, Depressed, Mourning, Depressed, Happy. But socially, it was amazing. I, oddly enough, made many new friends, and I thank God that I got the chance to develop my friendships with those I had before. Academically, I'm still #1 in my class. Take from that what you will. That's it for '08 (yeah, you're surprised that that was only six months, aren't you?).
Not much of consequence happened that can take up too much space in '09. The major events: I like Metal music now (weird, I know). I'm lead guitarist in a rock band with a good friend of mine on bass(I'm in 2 bands, technically, but I don't really count the other one too often). I had to deal with the death of a classmate, which still disturbs me. Then came Summerfest. Bon Jovi headlined the Opening night at the Marcus Amphitheatre. I was there. It was amazing. I was able to see everything perfectly, despite our far seats. The concert was almost two hours long, and it was a DAMN fun two hours. And that leads us to here, where I sit, listening to "The Final Countdown", typing up this random little infomercial of my life, waiting to go see Skynyrd again with Kid Rock in tow.
See? Told you it would only last two paragraphs.
Well, I've got nothing more to write, but I vow that I will not let a year pass between this and my next post. See y'all later.
